The 8th Annual Taste of Atlanta Festival will be held on Oct. 10 and 11, 2009, in Midtown Atlanta, Ga., at Tech Square. Food lovers can experience tastes from more than 80 Atlanta restaurants, as well as receive expert culinary advice from cooking demos on three stages, play-n-craft at the Amica Insurance Kids Avenue, learn about sustainable foods at the Farm-To-Festival Village, and enjoy live music and entertainment. This year, visitors can take part in activities such as the Taste of Atlanta Main Cooking Stage with Carla Hall of Top Chef fame, as well as learn about the culinary talents of local Atlanta chefs. Families can visit the Amica Insurance Kids Avenue and experience complimentary cooking demos, craft corners and the hands on Amica Insurance create-a-chef-hat station for little ones. Festival goers can exchange taste coupons for dishes from Atlanta area restaurants including Restaurant Eugene and Holeman & Finch Public House, 5 Seasons Brewing, 4th & Swift, Atlanta Fish Market, Buckhead Diner, Ritz Carlton Buckhead, Il Mulino, Market W Buckhead, P’Cheen International Bistro & Pub, Paschal’s, Top FLR, West Egg Café and many more. Tickers for Taste of Atlanta are available through Ticket Alternative at www.tasteofatlanta.net, or call 877-725-8849. General admission tickets include 15 taste coupons and are on sale for $25. Tickets will be $30 at the gate. Taste will be a gated event and tickets are necessary for admittance. A limited number of VIP Tickets priced at $65 are on sale now for fans ages 21 and older. Purchase VIP tickets early as they will sell out prior to the festival. VIP tickets include 20 taste coupons, access into the Wine and Beer Experience and the first 500 ticket holders on site each day will receive a festival gift bag.
