Art of Animation Resort by Disney set to open May 31

While grown ups will be partying at Atlantic City’s Revel Resort during the Memorial Weekend, families with kids will wait for the opening of the Disney Art of Animation Resort on May 31 to enjoy their vacation to the fullest. This is the first resort which features family suites with themes inspired by the Lion King, Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, and Cars.

The Disney resort is still on schedule to cut ribbons by May 31 with initial rates going for $395 a night which will also be the rates during the summer season between June 1 thru August 4 if you are staying over on weekends. Later during the summer though, the rooms will go for $249 per night but the weather in Orlando will also be extremely hot.

Aside from making your child smiling all the time in a room with his or her favorite Disney character, the suites also come a living room, mini kitchen, two bathrooms, table bed, sleep sofa, and a queen sized bed. There is of course the usual flat screen television and WiFi access.

If you are looking forward to stay in an under the sea theme with Ariel and her friends, you might have to wait longer only the Cars, Lion King, and Finding Nemo suites will be available on the opening day. The Little Mermaid themed rooms will be available for guests by September.
