Free entrance to national parks Aug. 14-15

On Aug. 14-15, the National Park Service will waive entrance fees to 146 parks and other sites that normally charge up to $25 for admittance. Included are the big destination parks (Yosemite, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon) as well as historic homes and historic parks and sites.

In addition, some park concessionaires are offering their own incentives that weekend, such as discounts on boat rentals, horseback riding and gift shop purchases.
